File issue that freezes up NMM and makes "Edit Mod Information" impossible due to that

Certain files make NMM freeze up massively. i.e.: the main file from this mod: Werewolf Companions - Turns the Companions at Jorrvaskr into Werewolves - Werewolf Companions v1.3 FOMOD https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29155 freezes up NMM at the time the file is selected, once selected the name can be altered, but that's it. Other files cause it, too, but my download folder is too big to track them all down right now.
