We keep adding more and more mods, but we've also been getting a lot of mod bloat, overlapping content, and just plain unnecessary things.
After talking with some people, here's some of our ideas so far:
Big Reactors feels too good with almost no risk/difficulty, plus Mekanism has its own Fusion Reactor we could/should use for endgame power generation; will remove.
FSP seems pointless, but there's quite a bit of content we'd like to keep included; might have to make it more worthwhile instead of remove outright.
MFR is very "magic block" in its design, and overlaps a lot with other item transport and factory based mods, like Immersive Engineering; will probably remove.
RPGAdv only adds signs, which in concept are really nice in being able to find your friends' bases, but in practice are almost completely unused along with minimaps and the like; will probably remove.
Ping doesn't seem to be useful, was mainly going to be used if/when people streamed and played with friends so that they could communicate; might remove, as since it's just a keybind that can be removed it's not a big deal IMO.
PiP was intended to be used by the players who wanted to stream/record their gameplay, but not only does it lag when it's on, it's almost entirely unused. Will probably remove, or made into an optional client-side mod if possible.
Glowstone Wire plays a bit buggy, and doesn't provide much aside from being able to place down a slightly glowing pile of dust on the ground; will probably remove.
Tropicraft seems very underused for the file size it brings; if we can figure something out we may just remove this.
Weather2 messes with the weather too much to be worth it, plus we already disable most of the risks of the tornados, which don't sync across clients anyways; will remove.
Translocator has been causing crashes, forces the C key into being used for the crafting grid, even if it's disabled; will remove.
Hat Stand doesn't seem to be utilized and is a bit unnecessary; will remove.
Crafting Pillars is just unused and unnecessary; will remove.
Feel free to add suggestions/feedback to this list. We'll be keeping this here for reference on things to remove in the coming versions.
