Yes, there is no console view provided by Nodeclipse.
But you can use StartExplorer that is included into Enide distribution. Maybe there are better plugins we could use.
In the long run, of course, we need pure console. Some options are:
There already is an Eclipse console view which we can leverage. Maybe we can add some styling on stop of that to give it an unique look. A sample console used by OSGi. -

Closing as since Autumn 2014 there is TCF_Terminals included into Enide Studio 2014 plugins
Bring console support. Currently I do not see console support for the Node.js from Nodeclipse. We can add that allowing people to execute commands from Eclipse itself.
