DSP Acceleration may allow us to maximize efficiency for processing of therms (segments maybe too?), especially if we need to do some filtering to reduce noise/ STM/ARM has DSP built in, but it involves using some new libraries and functions that are literally just assembly.
The goal of this ticket is to learn about this and map a gameplan for implementing it - if possible, but the actual implementation is out of scope of this ticket. If it seems doable, another ticket will be made to actually implement
