I am able to use gestures to navigate on mobile devices

On phones, keyboard shortcuts don't work. But we could make the few shortcuts available through gesture control -

Swipe left: backward Swipe right: forward Doubleclick screen (textarea): play/pause

Suggestion: wait with this story until the context viewer is done, since we may want different ui controls once the book content is being displayed.
