Version lyt-1.2.0_018 - no read speed on iPhone or iOS safari #519

I expected to be able to change playback rate on either my iPhone or mac on this release - both show an inactive form

@marvah: can you take another look at the player in production and see if you can reproduce this issue?

Tested on iPhone and mac - works there. Tested on iPad - doesn't work! The settings are there but don't take effect. There's an IOS upgrade waiting on that device, I'll try to install that and check if that helps.

Its a result of our cowboy decision to remove the use of Modernizr and just enable the controls all the time.

Of course - still think it's a reasonable decision though. We should definitely get the test back in business anyway, if we reckon we can make it work cross platform. For now I'm just checking whether it's an IOS update that causes the malfunction on iPad - if it is, we are pretty safe with most user groups

Allright - updated iPad to IOS 6.1.2 and that did the trick. No worries, then
