I have now testes this issue on all available platforms, and found that navigating using the timeline works on all platforms, but that issues arise with the forwards/backwards buttons and linear playing as follows:
chrome: OK firefox: playing starts automatically after using backwards and forwards buttons, but not when skipping to the next chapter during linear playing. safari: playing doesn't start automatically at all (not after using buttons, not whilst playing linearly) IE7: I have not been able to locate a device running this browser. Anyone? IE8: same as safari. IE9: same as firefox. iPad (6.0.1): OK Android (4.2.1): same as firefox.
@NajaWulff:
Firefox and Android (4.1.2 - I don't have 4.2.1): I can't reproduce the issue, you described. Skipping to next audio stream works both when the player does it automatically and when I press forward or back.
@katiakn + @KRW-nota: can you try to reproduce this issue?
Hvilken URL og hvilke platforme skal der testes på?
Tested on MAC Safari. Version: test.m.e17.dk/lyt-1.2.6_002
Can't reproduce.
Ok. Closing.
The fix above caused a new issue to pop up on other platforms, so I have reverted the fix here: SHA: 36bbe2f96b957c6a066738b35d8af452e83e17ac.
Cannot reproduce on stable, nor on master. Closing as fixed.
How to reproduce:
Expected result: the player should start playing the next audio stream. Actual result: the player pauses after having switched to the next audio stream.
