We have identified the following rearchitecting tasks:

Book and Playlist class should be merged.
Player should take over responsibility for the current playing segment (and this should be removed from Book and Playlist).
SMIL and Section one-to-one references should be changed to one-to-many references.
Segments should be responsible for rendering and each different rendering mode should be represented by a separate Segment subclass (this breaks the MVC paradigm, unfortunately).

Remember to check that the player doesn't crash if the last section in a book is blacklisted as per issue #581.
