After many hours of trial and error it seems to be a distant horizons issue even though I tested for that.. distant horizons config > advanced options > graphics > quality > set "transparency" option to fake or complete to fix.
I will try to be as thorough as i can.
using what:
using modded Minecraft 1.21.3 with iris 1.8.0. (mod list with versions etc. at the bottom in case of relevancy) loaded with Neoforge 21.3.36
what happens:
upon enabling the shrimple v0.11 shader the sky turns fully black, and the sun/moon disappear only leaving its light reflecting back off of the clouds and fog. the shrimple dev build from GitHub has the same problems. when i turn minimum cloud coverage to 0%, there is no light anywhere with rtx enabled. (even from torches etc.) i tried using a texture pack with custom sky and sun/moon but this remains the exactly same.
while a black sky and disappearing sun/moon is not that bad, the lighting issues caused by whatever this is makes everything switch between a super bright bloom nightmare and a super dark horror scape. sometimes the sky actually looks semi-normal but then i look down and my grass is neon.
is there a way to replace the sky color and sun/moon textures? I really hope someone can help with this since i am really loving the quality and performance of this shader.
some pictures:
no shrimple
shrimple enabled, min cloud coverage 100%
shrimple enabled, min cloud coverage 5%
shrimple enabled, min cloud coverage 0%
shrimple enabled, no sun/moon above clouds
shrimple enabled, sunlight only reflects off of the clouds, I'm going up vertically
