Hi... No news on this front...

As of now, this is broken and prevents the links to meetup events from working using this template. I've put a workaround in place for our chapter https://github.com/OWASP/www-chapter-geneva/commit/46a38ae06de10a80e4f9fa4e787befbbbf12c513, but this would fix it for everyone.
