Render transformation centre #1757

Related to #1755 and #1756, it would help clarify to the user what is happening if the centre used for transformations, as determined by the user's choice in the pane on the left, would be displayed in the main view whenever the Manipulation Tool was the currently selected tool.

Perhaps also with x/y/z-axes drawn through the centre.

Do you think this is still needed with #1774

It'd be a nice extra to have one day IMO, but it's not in any way urgent. So my preference would be to leave the issue open, maybe someone can tackle it as a first issue some time.
