thanks for quick fixes.. after I had some issues with gdal installation, things I think worked for me, although I could not confirm since it was talking a long time.

It took ~10-15 minutes on my computer. I can make the example file smaller because we are ingesting the whole tiff (24 bands ~ 1.8 Gb) right now. Maybe I can extract only 1 band so that we ingest it quickly.
