Describe the bug

[x] NPE on featureCode attribute
[x] ERROR o.o.extractors.geo.PlaceGeocoder - Place object not found for row ID 59602656 for example occurs in spurious conditions. Large documents? OOM-related?
[x] 5GB RAM is required heap to run Xponents in batch or REST mode comfortable for long period of time. Investigate OOM/leak

To Reproduce

Run Xponents 3.5 as REST server or in batch mode feeding it 50,000 requests of 1KB varied text

Expected behavior

no memory leak.
With 3 GB heap, OOM occurs around 4GB, etc. Typical behaviour is that with 3GB (in Xponents 3.3 no leak happened)
