Long term list of User Stories

Here are the user stories (some are epics) that I could come up with based on my notes from #201. Again, some of them are already known. I'm just including them all for completeness. They can be split up into smaller tasks if needed but this will give us a good idea of some of the areas that should be looked into.

As a player, I want to know what the differences between each difficulty are so that I can decide how I want to play.
As a player, I want to be able to see what each cargo type does so that I can make informed decisions on what to take.

As a player, I want to be able to choose what music track is currently playing so that I can listen to the music tracks out of order.
As a player, I want to be able to skip the current music track forward and backward so that I can skip tracks I don't like.
As a player, I want to be able to listen to a music track on repeat so that I can listen to a track without constantly starting it over from the music player.
As a player, I want to be able to hear the music throughout the game so that the game is not silent throughout.
As a player, I want to be able to listen to more than one song throughout the game so that I am not just hearing the same song over and over.
As a player, I want to be able to control the volume of the music so that I can turn it down when it's too loud or turn it up when it's too quiet.
As a player, I want to be able to control the volume of the sound so that I can turn it down when it's too loud or turn it up when it's too quiet.
As a player, I want to be able to learn how to play via a tutorial so that I can learn how to play without reading the manual or help files.
As a player, I want to be able to disable or skip the tutorial so that I can get right to playing because I already know how to play.

As a player, I want to be able to see how many turns until a robot's fuel cell dies so that I will know when the robot will need to be replaced.
As a player, I want to be able to replace robot fuel cells so that I can keep using the same robot without replacing it.
As a player, I want to be able to use the Geothermal power plant tiles so that I can use different power generation types.

As a player, I want to be able to know how much my resources are changing between turns so that I can know when to build more resource generating tiles.
As a player, I want to be able to know when my resources are getting low so that I will know when to build more resource generating tiles.
As a player, I want to be able to know what resources are required to build a tile so that I don't waste time and resources trying to build a tile that will never finish.
As a player, I want to be able to know what resources are required to build a tile so that I can know beforehand if I can even build it.
As a player, I want to be able to know what each reseach does so that so that I know what it's used for.
As a player, I want to be able to know how I got each research discovery so that I can make decisions on what to research next.

As a player, I want to know how many turns are left before a mine goes dormant so that I can add a new level to it before it runs out.

As a player, I want to be able to save my game at any time so that if I need to stop playing I can do so immediately without having to advance the turn.
As a player, I want to be able to see what each resource is so that I can make informed decisions on what to gather next.
As a player, I want to be able to see what each resource is used for so that I can make informed decisions on what to gather next.
As a player, I want to be able to see what the results of a research are before starting it so that I can make informed decisions on what to research and in what order.
As a player, I want to be able to see a description of what each part of a tile summary does so that I can make informed decisions on what to do next that turn.

As a player, I want to see the research that allowed me to build a tile so that I can know what to build in what order the next time I play.
As a player, I want to see animations of tiles collapsing so that I am not surprised by tiles suddenly being destroyed.
As a player, I want to know when colonists (emmigrate) defect to the Rebel colony so that I know when my population is decreasing.
As a player, I want to know when colonists (immigrate) defect to my colony so that I know when my population is increasing.

As a player, I want to be able to move between tile depths anywhere on the map so that do not have to constantly jump unecessarily between tile levels.
As a player, I want to see accurate information on the tile summary screen so that I can make informed decisions based on current information.

As a player, I want to be able to change the product of every factory at once so that I don't have to manually click on each one.
As a player, I want to be able to see the entire research tree at once so that I can make informed decisions on what to research next.
As a player, I want to be informed when a lab hasn't been researching something for a while so that I can make sure every lab is researching something.
As a player, I want to be able to disable the Morale pop-up so that when it constantly pops up it doesn't annoy me.
As a player, I want to be able to assign Students to become workers so that I don't run out of workers and my population all become scientists.

As a player, I want to know when a university tile has finished training a class so that I can assign them to work immediately.
As a player, I want to be able to speed up training in the early game so that I am no waiting around for classes to finish.
As a player, I want to see the master lab report update in real time so that I can make informed decisions.
As a player, I want ot see the master factory report update in real time so that I can make informed decisions.
As a player, I want to see the age of a University tile so I will know when it will stop teaching due to out-dated teaching materials.

As a player, I want to be able to increase my storage tank capacity through research so that I can hold more with less tiles.
As a player, I want to be able to increase my warehouse storage capacity through research so that I can hold more with less tiles.
As a player, I want to be able to play with my friends so that we both can enjoy the game.
As a player, I want to be able to attack other colonies so that I can interact with the AI or other players.
As a player, I want to know what research just finished so that I can make informed decisions on what to do next.
As a player, I want to see what research discoveries are new so that I can quickly know what to read.
As a player, I want to see what research discoveries are unread so that I know what to focus on.
As a player, I want to be able to choose if disasters are enabled so that I can focus on colony building.

As a player, I want to be able to control the camera with the keyboard so that I can quickly navigate within a small area without the mouse.
As a player, I want to be able to view a master Robot Command report screen so that I can see an overview of every Robot command at once without clicking on each one.
As a player, I want to be able to view a master Warehouse report screen so that I can see an overview of every warehouse without clicking on each one.

As a player, I want to be able to choose if automatic trucking is enabled so that I can focus on colony building.

As a player, I want to be able to see more than one level of a master tile report at once so that I can make informed comparisons and decisions.
As a player, I want to be able to transport colonists between colonies so that I can balance the population and productivity of every colony.
As a player, I want to be able to transport materials between colonies so that I can balance the materials of every colony.
As a player, I want to be ale to transport minerals from mines to any colony faster so that I can produce materials faster.
As a player, I want to be able to destroy impassable terrain so that I can build anywhere.
As a player, I want to be able to protect my colonists from disasters so that they don't die.

As a player, I want to be able to view a master Storage Tank report screen so that I can see if I am about to run overflow my resources.
As a player, I want to be able to view a detailed report of Raw and Smelted Totals so that I can see a breakdown of each type of resources.
As a player, I want to be able to see the road tiles I've placed on the Site Map so that I can know where they go at a glance.
As a player, I want to be able to visually distinguish between the different types of terrain: clear, passable, hostile, and impassable so that I know where I can build at a glance.
As a player, I want to be able to visually distinguish when a research branch is completely done so that I don't keep checking completed branches unnecessarily.

As a player, I want to be able to turn off certain News Briefs after seeing them once so that I am not constantly having to click through duplicate briefs.
As a player, I want to be able to build colonies at multiple Landing Sites in late game so that I can expand mining and colony management across the whole planet.
As a player, I want to be able to upgrade tiles in-place so that I can save space and not have to constantly build new tiles.

As a player, I want to be able to see an appreciable difference when terriforming is finished so that I know it's done.
As a player, I want to be able to run multiple turns at once in sequence so that I can skip waiting for long-running sequences.
As a player, I want to be able to see progress of multiple turns running at once so that I can tell when it'll be finished.
As a player, I want to be able to cancel running multiple turns at once after I've started so that I can stop a long-running number of turns.
As a player, I want to be able to control the UI while a long-running multiple turns is progressing so that I can cancel or view reports while multiple turns are in progress.
As a player, I want to be able to view the credits for the game so I can appreciate the hard work of each developer.
As a player, I want to be able to skip the credits so that I can go back to the main menu.
As a player, I want to be able to go back to the main menu after beating the game so that I can start a new game.
As a player, I want to be able to go back to the main menu after losing the game so that I can start a new game.
