I stop moving my mouse at about 8 seconds, and my fps goes right back to my cap, but any other time it plummets from me moving my mouse.

Does it drop fps when YM cursor not assigned, or if YM is off.

If I set the cursor (with Yolomouse on) to default, the frame drops continue. If I end the task, my fps goes back to normal.

PandaTeemo commented 4 years ago

is it just this game (whats name?) or does it lag with others?

The game is called Super Animal Royale, I've tested it on browser, Realm of the Mad God, and discord with animated bits. So far nothing else changes framerate in the slightest. I'd say the game is the problem, but other people have used it in game and it doesn't affect framerate in the slightest for them.

It may be doing something screwy with how it sets cursors. Ive seen a few games do this. You can try running YM as NOT administrator (default) and that game as administrator. It should cause YM to switch to overlay cursors which work differently by not interacting with the game at all.

Need to bump this. I'm seeing FPS issues in FFXIV as well with this program enabled.

remd commented 4 years ago

I think I am seeing these issues with Path of Exile. I'm seemingly able to cause FPS drops (all way down to 5-15 FPS) by moving the mouse quickly while YoloMouse is running. As soon as I stop moving the mouse my FPS shoots back up to 120-144 FPS.

However, it's not consistent. Sometimes I can play for a whole day without any issues.

I think I may have found the problem thanks a user who reproduced in LoL. While a 4$ version is being released soon (to cover code signing costs). Ill try to fix in previous/free version too :)

Im not 100% sure its same problem as yours tho, so if you find a more consistent way in poe to reproduce (pref in some noob area)... Ill giv a serial# for 4$ ver :)

I am looking forward to trying out the fix, even if it lands in the paid version only! YoloMouse is invaluable for many games, especially Path of Exile.

Where will you be announcing how to purchase a software key?

Experiencing massive frame drops when moving the mouse in certain games can be frustrating, and there are several potential causes for this issue for best ambidextrous gaming mouse. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and address the problem:

Graphics Settings:

Check the in-game graphics settings. Make sure they are configured appropriately for your hardware. Lower graphical settings, such as resolution, textures, and shadows, to see if it improves performance. Graphics Drivers:

Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Visit the official website of your GPU manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) to download and install the latest drivers.
