Same, disabled updates check

ClusterConsultant commented 2 years ago

This is due to tf2bd-util.pazer.us currently being down. There is ongoing work to migrate to a new host. Disable checking for updates and if you want the steam API integration you have to use your own key and switch to direct access. See https://github.com/PazerOP/tf2_bot_detector/wiki/Integrations:-Steam-API for information on how to do that

Hey is it still down? I just recently found this github and am really new to it. Would have asked how to install it

qfoxb commented 2 years ago

It's still down, but it can be fixed by changing "Notify about new stable releases" to "Disable automatic update checks"

JoeyZio commented 2 years ago

I just learned about this software and came across the same issue. Is this still being maintained?

qfoxb commented 2 years ago

hasn't had an update in a while but it still works fine

Sadly it seems there's new bots that don't get detected, so you have to alt+tab and mark them as a cheater on the program. Thankfully though that process only takes a few seconds. Eventually though I did manage to build up a list so when they'd re-join, this program would instantly start a vote kick against them.

I've got a list that works with most of the new bots on my profile

Is this compatible with the compiled windows version? or do I need to compile it? I've got a large playerlist.biglist.json also, can I merge your changes with that somehow? Thanks :3

It's a seperate file you put alongside the json files, they're named rules.qfoxb.json and playerlist.qfoxb.json
