Dear Gurusamy Sarathy et al:

Many thanks for hours of enjoyable Perl solutions and general hacking. If I retire before I die\, I should enjoy assisting the porters.

FYI\, I installed the new 5.6 release a couple weeks ago\, suddenly became interested in SWIG (mentioned in perlxs)\, but could not build it due to incompatible PERL_OBJECT and MULTIPLICITY switches.

I have since switched back to build 522; just wanted to make you aware of this condition.

P.S. This is the first time I tried perlbug. Had to mail it manually. Thought it might use my windows "default mail tool". Guess I'll take a look at this when I retire.

From @chorny

Can you check that this still happens with Perl 5.12?

Since there has been no complaint from the original poster in twelve years\, I recommend we close this ticket. We can open a new ticket for any SWIG-related problems.

Thank you very much. Jim Keenan
