Hmm, I have to think about that... The idea is actually not bad. But I would then like it to be optional. Let's see, I will come back to this idea at some time.
Thanks!
This is the one feature missing that would make me switch over from Diarium.
It's one of those features that sound like nothing special on paper, but in once you had it, it's hard to live without. After years of journaling it's really nice to see what you experienced, did, thought or felt exactly 1, 2 or 5 years ago. Brings things into perspective and reminds you of personal growth (or lack thereof).
Anyway, if this feature could somehow make it, I would be most grateful.
Would it be possible to implement another field, like the search results field that shows an "on this day" history overview. For example, let's say on 22 Feb 2020 you wrote "Ran my first ever 10km without stopping" then on each 22nd Feb it would come up with:
On this day... 2015 "Invented time travel" 2019 "Went to Mike's birthday party in Madrid" 2020 "Ran my first ever 10km without stopping" 2021 "Did ANOTHER COVID test - urrrrgh"
Something like that? It could be like the search result.... just showing the first x characters of text for that day. Also helps/adds to the search comment in the readme file "...Support your memory by easily scanning your notes for any keyword and rediscovering details you may have almost forgotten."
Might be some option to choose the timeframe (1 year, 6 months, 3 months... etc)
