Optionally always use latest firmware version #2

There was a PR for this #1, I've tried to fix it, you find my WIP to fix it on develop. The only missing part is, that artifacts are not found. The layout_src folder is not found or empty. Maybe because of the additional checkout action that was introduced (and partially fixed).

@5andr0 sorry decided to revert the main branch after some hours of trying to fix it. I planned other things for today, I'd rather have you try this a second time, and please properly test this time!

Both PRs fix this, I would favor #4 over #3
