Where would the pages link from if not the main / categories?
From the project page that they belong to. My feeling is that it is important not to muddy the hierarchy too much: there will be many tasks for each project, and many projects for each category. Listing all the tasks on the category page would make for difficult navigation.
The projects section of the website is still under construction. This section currently has the potential for the greatest use as there is little being written about the community as a whole. As such, I propose that we employ existing software, namely a Wiki, and use it to host research or project write-ups that we are undertaking.
One potential caveat of using a Wiki is that it can be difficult to enforce consistent styling, categorisation or formatting of posts. As such, I further propose that the following format is followed when creating entries:
Project tasks should not be linked to from the main page or from category pages, creating a visible hierarchy.
Further, categories should be used sparingly and should be as general as functionally possible: i.e. using
agriculture
rather thanlettuce
. However, there is a balance to be struck here.
