multi-tissue plant structure development stage #492

In order to bring the development stage branch of the PO in line with the anatomical entity stage branch of the PO, we need some new upper level terms. This is one of them.

proposed def.: A plant structure development stage (PO:0009012) that has as primary participant a multi-tissue plant structure (PO:0025496).

comment: Examples include plant organ development stage (PO:0025339), fruit development stage (PO:0001002), and seed development stage (PO:0001170).

At the POC meeting on 8-14-12, we decided not to mirror the plant structure branch in the plant structure development stage branch, but instead to skip some of the upper level terms. We will try it an see how it works.

Now that we have progressed further with reworking the PSDS, it seems that we should add this term. We need a parent term for plant organ development stage (PO:0025339), fruit development stage (PO:0001002), and seed development stage (PO:0001170).

We have already added: collective plant organ structure development stage (PO:0025338). This is the parent for: PO:0025578 : collective phyllome structure development stage [57352]
PO:0025527 : shoot system development stage [105664]
And forms the hierarchy for the flower development stage (PO:0007615), corolla development stage (PO:0007604), and inflorescence development stage (PO:0001083).

Similarly, we need this term, otherwise we cannot create logical hierarchies.

The addition of this term was accepted at the POC Conf call 9-10-13.
