Freezing Bug #470

Open AtlasDragon opened 4 years ago

AtlasDragon commented 4 years ago

Issue Description:

All mobs freezing after attempting to fight a Gym Leader. Leader's 2nd pokeball doesn't open (contains Celesteela). Close and reopen world, and all mobs are frozen.

Only fix is killing the world to reset the saved world to before fighting the gym leader, then avoiding that gym leader altogether.

What happens:

Gym Leader attempts to send out a pokemon after first pokemon was fainted, the pokeball doesn't open. Attempting to interact with the gym leader again provides message "Gym Leader does not want to battle you right now.", along with attempting to interact with any other trainer. Trainers do not freeze until AFTER world is exited then re logged into.

What you expected to happen:

Gym leader sends out the second pokemon, hopefully it gets fainted and gym leader gives a badge.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Fight steel type gym leader.
  2. Kill first pokemon (a Klink).
  3. Leader sends out Celesteela pokeball, it doesn't open.
  4. Close and re open world, mobs all frozen.

Affected Versions (Do not use "latest"): Replace with a list of all mods you have in.

in my development environment, I get some of the reported issues (trainers cubes not opening), but not others (reloading world still things work fine)

Hm. I'm not sure then. I can fight other gym leaders no problem, but celesteela being sent out forces me to force kill the game to get a previous version of the world. I'll see if there's any more information I can find about this.

I've noticed that trainers in many cases can't bring out pokemon on paths and carpet, and in the dojo tower things in the situation where the black belt at the top throws out a Hariyama it simply won't come out, probably due to being too big for the room.
