2 years ago Hey, interesting plugin. I can see how it can be useful. Just a few things:
- We'd normally have to fork this app and release it under the PostHog github organization. We're also moving away from this model into having one big apps monorepo which should be easier to contribute to. Today we're still using the old model. I'm happy to move this around when needed.
- I'd love to see some kind of configurable limit on the number of events this can send, with a low default (100?). Otherwise there's a danger for someone, somewhere, to get an accidental million extra events because of bad data.
- I see that this expects all elements in that array to be objects, and it then capture a new event with the content of that object. That's highly specific and not apparent from the app's name. I personally would have assumed the new events contain all other properties as they are, just this one array property is split, and now contains the value of one array element. I think calling the app "array emitter" would be more appropriate then 🤔.

Right now PostHog cannot provide insights on array elements, this plugin make it possible by creating new events for each array element.
