Invalid bug report.
Consider disabling rescan movies after refresh.
We don't have any plans to disable the daily metadata refresh.
This is not accetable. Think about the thousand of radarr instances which spin up disks, making unnecessary web request, waste lot of cpu power for all your users which don't care about the latest metadata. This is a serious issue and should not be answered by "we have no plans to disable this". Think about the environment and the electricity bills for your users!
That's a perfect example where bad software causes avoidable co2 output.
And by the way, this is a simple boolean configuration, your argumentation is just ridiculous. This could be done by a trainee in the first month. Or day.
If this would be more then 10 lines of code, I would laugh my ass of....
Is there an existing issue for this?
Current Behavior
It daily refreshes the metadata just for nothing, because i could not care less about the current data. This decreases the hardware runtime of my nas and increases my elecrticity bill.
Expected Behavior
This can be disabled. I am shocked, that this is not the default behaviour and has been implemented years ago. Radarr spins up the drives on my NAS every day totally unnecessary. This will decrease runtime for the drives wastes a lot of energy for just nothing. Maybe you will pay my bill?!
Think about your CO2 footprint which your application is causing and make an option to disable the daily completely UNNECESSARY scan!
Steps To Reproduce

Trace Logs? Not Optional
There is no logfile, because this is just a logical issue. But definetely a bug, because no intelligent human being one can do this by intention...
