At game startup, only a black screen with music is present. #240

Hello, I have been playing GHPC for some months without issues. Some week ago, the game crashed while playing. After this, I am not able to properly start the game. At launch, I see the first logo and the music starts to play. However, only a black screen is visible, with some occational flickering.

I have verified all the files, uninstalled and installed the game several times. Between one of the removal and re-installation, I deleted all registry entries at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Radian Simulations LLC\GHPC

What can I do to make the game functional again?

Check for your Player.log and Player-prev.log files in C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Radian Simulations LLC\GHPC and post both here.

Funny enough. The game has not been startable for more than a week. Just now, I needed the restart my Windows 11 machine due to a Windows update, and after this, the game starts normally. :)

Nevertheless, I am attaching my two log files. Perhaps it could be some clue to what did not work previously. How quickly will these files be overwritten?

Yet again, the game crashed during gameplay (it frooze when I tried to change vehicle with TAB), now just the black screen with music is visible when restarting the game.

I still have the same phenomena. The game works for some time (days), then crashes during gameplay. After the crash, it is not possible to restart it. Instead, I am stuck at the "black screen with music".

Often, the only way to be able to play the game again is to do a full operating system restart. What could be the reason for this?

Yet another in-game crash, then the game can no longer start. Let me know if it brings any value to provide these files. Currently, I am uncertain if I can continue to play the game due to the issues occuring so frequently for me.

I've reviewed some of your logs and I'm seeing this line:

Dedicated video D3D11 device creation failed (error: 0x887a0004). This device is used specifically for video decoding, we will use software video decoding instead.

The abrupt end to the log without any stack trace does not point to something we can fix with the game but potentially a hardware issue. Do you have a dedicated GPU? What are your system specs?
