The Manapouri power scheme affects the nutrient loads on the Waiau. Ton has implemented an approach for its consideration in other work (see email from Ton to Tim Cox cc Tim Kerr on 3 June 2020 at 7:53 am subject Re: FW: Nohoanga site shape file ##14992##

Ton's approach: delete the estimated mean flow down the main stem, then add all the tributaries plus about 69 cumecs at the head. Reduce the load contribution based on the ratio of estimated outflow to the natural outflow. For Ton, this approach provided reasonable values at measurement points.

The change in mean flow attribute for the Waiau has been implemented. Tim Cox has been informed the ratio ofmanaged/naturalised flow is 69/411 (see email from Tim Kerr to Tim Cox on Tuesday 23 June 2020
