Legacy shells can survive longer then the turrets they cover #308

Description of issue

See here Video around minute 14. there are still several shells left that no longer have turrets below, i.e. fire. You can also sometimes see turrets explode and the shell survive. Apparently projectiles (medium missiles/medium Lasers) regularily destroy the turrets below the shells instead of only hitting the shells...

From testing with plasma cannons it seems explosion ofte/always hit both. The shell and the turret below. So if turrets are predamaged, like those on the devastator which are at 5k hp only, the explosion damage can kill the turret much faster then the shell.

Well, since explosions are passing through some of the shell you know what that means? I repair the turrets underneath.

Also, how much HP were the legacy shells on after the fight? So I know whether it's a problem with the shells or the game.

Don't know how much the ones in the real fight had left - and cant look because eleon insinsts on despawning wrecks. From my creative testing with plasma the shells had around 30-35k hp left when my medium plasma cannons killed the 5k hp turrets below.

Well when I did test it in creative the ship wasn't moving.

Speculation: Depending on how the collider looks it could be that its just the explosions being grid based. That is every block on a grid position that gets affected by an explosion will be damaged. With the shells you got overlapping colliders and therefore multiple blocks in the same position.

It might actually be the moving collider thing, too. I also observed being able to sometimes snipe the turrets with the experimental railgun, with the shell still alive.
