The zirax spawners are triggered BY the mission. You cannot kill the zirax before the mission activates the spawners. In the event that you are playing in MP or Co-op and someone else has done the mission before you and the POI hasn't regenerated, you can manually complete the task via F1 to open the PDA, select the mission and task and click the little box next to the objective.
