feature request "autoselect last received email on TB start" #492

Hi,

Currently when you start TB no email get selected so you get a blank message pane; to solve this extension was created https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/auto-select-latest-message/

What do you think about such a feature?

It's an interesting one, although I wouldn't like to take other Add-on developer's functionality away unless I came up with the feature myself. Need to do more research.

some people will prefer that Thunderbird remembers the last email they have looked at, for each folder. And sometimes we want to keep emails of a folder in unread state and move on to the next unread folder first - which my skip folder button is all about:

Smart button man ! And thanks for your feedback I modified the bugzilla feature request as indeed TB showing on start up the last email you were busy with with makes more sens
