I have started looking into building out using Chromium. It's not complete, and is very much in the development phase, but it's something I do want to get added in.
If someone sends a PR with that already built in, I would accept it :)
But this is definitely on the roadmap
With that said @reconnization - your tone and demanding manner really is not the best way to ask for something. This is a tool that is worked on in evenings, or other spare time that could be spent doing something else. When we have people like you demanding things of others, we're generally not inclined to help you. I might suggest actually trying to contribute to projects you find useful instead of "requiring" others to just do it for you. Or at a minimum, try to be respectful to those who spend their free time making tools you use.
Just a thought
Well said.

I hate to bump such an old thread, but I just wanted to chime in and say that EyeWitness is one of the only tools of its kind that uses Firefox instead of Chromium.
I think using Firefox is cool and good and possibly sets EW apart from its cousins. I'm not sure how I'd like a chromium-based EW. Just my $2...
Would you expect to see much difference? I know there are some apps that work differently in different browsers once you are using the actual functionality but probably not the index page.
Or do you think it may just cause less install problems?

I'm not sure about differences. I would expect that things would behave differently in ways that are hard to anticipate, but that's hand-waving so I dunno.
I do think that geckodriver installation is very easy and works well for what we use it for (and I'm working on some major overhauls to the setup script to make it even easier).
Changes would probably be minimal, but I just think it's neat that in a sea of tools that use Chromium, there exists a tool that uses Firefox. Anyway this is off-topic I suppose. It looks like this issue is a duplicate of issue 604 which is closed, so maybe we can close this one as well.

Same issue here: https://github.com/FortyNorthSecurity/EyeWitness/issues/604 Maybe you should consider using Chromium instead of Firefox sh**t.
