Comment from 2ndLt(T) Tougaard:

I just wish I could readjust the size and lock it to any point on the screen. As a GPS for starters.

I just wrote on the BI forums about this issue:

cant understand why, though, why the "small" versions need to be that BIG. It's all plastic [...] I understand it has to be like that in input mode because we give all our attention to what we are doing [...] cant just the map be reproduced (just like the vanilla GPS nav)? If the problem would be that it becomes too easy navigating and that all becomes "too gamey" make it so that it just stays on for a 20 or so seconds, or put a "frame on/frame off" kind of choice (if possible)

Not quite sure I get your point.... The small TAD is currently fixed size, so on smaller monitor it will appear to be quite huge. Its being addressed in the ACE3 integration. There is currently no plan to make any changes to this stand-alone project.

i try to reword it. the small versions of all devices are still too big to be used as a navigation tool, mainly because of their frames (which are eyecandy but useless when you dont need to interact with the device itself).

If the whole device (whatever it is) is not resizable as one likes, at least insert an option to take the plastic frame out from view and leave just the map screen on in a corner of the HUD, just like vanilla GPS.

Thanks, that's clear now. Will move that request into its own issue on the cTab project (just for tracking purposes as there is no active development) and add it to our ACE3 list of things to do for the BFT module.
