@wally-mac, Yup! I will get on it. I am just doing a fresh re-run of the latest version of BRAT on the Middle-Salmon panther?
Correct, thanks!
@wally-mac and @sshahverdian (1) It looks like there is an edited perennial valley bottom and 300m perennial network Josh had run back in June 2017, (2) there is also a newly edited Perennial network in the Idaho BRAT folder edited in March 2018, (3) and a full NHD Network.
or run the full network through VBET and BRAT and clip down to the newer edited perennial network after the BRAT run?
Thoughts?
I think we want to use the same March 2018 perennial network that is being used for other analyses. So I would say, run the full network through VBET and BRAT and clip down to the newer edited perennial network after the BRAT run. Alright, will do!
I will need to hand this one off... Here is where I have gotten and links to where all the data is kept.
I have everything complete except for the final step in BRAT. Step 6: Conservation Restoration. I kept running into an error in the tool. It looks like there was a change in a field name during the last BRATtool update. Here is a link to the Error message: https://usu.box.com/s/2aaae0pwii5oeirtpuggrjhjfbo00rjt
Here is a link to all the data: https://usu.box.com/s/s4z9ap8zdlh2njg1rehbjgmoxygimb6b
All that needs to be be done is fix the error, run the final step, generate a layer package and clip to the perennial network.
The link should include the regression equations, coded Vegetation layers, and all the necessary data to run the final step. Here is the BRAT Folder: https://usu.box.com/s/j2we09fnrv8m3r685s0wjqw57vfy0xs4
@MatthewMeier and @mhallerud please see above comment. Thanks!
Thanks for the information @Albonicomt no problem we will take care of this. @mhallerud could you head this up I am currently working on the John Day report. If you keep on running into the error I would start over with the newest master BRAT which has been working for me for the most part. Some things to sort out with the layer package generator but besides that it is working. Let me know when you think you can work on this. Also if you have questions feel free to ask them.
@MatthewMeier Starting on it now.
@MatthewMeier So that error is because the fields iPC_VLowLU, iPC_HighLU, and iPC_LU do not exist in the combined dam capacity shapefile. All of these fields are necessary for running the new version of the Conservation Restoration tool. They are all created in the new BRAT_table tool. Do you want me to re-run from the new BRAT version, or just use the old Conservation Restoration tool to finish it up?
@MatthewMeier I think it needs to be re-run either way... The fields are missing from the BRAT_Table.shp too, so they weren't just accidentally deleted from the Combined_Dam_Capacity.shp. Let me know if you have any other ideas.
@mhallerud Sounds like a plan to add those fields just make sure that the land use supporting tool was used on the existing vegetation data and that you add the land use layer in the project builder. Use his DA and mainstem edits like we did for the North Fork Burnt and John Day. Call if you have questions
How is this coming along?

@wally-mac Planning to finish it up today.
@wally-mac @MatthewMeier Just finished up. The results can be found here. The only thing I noticed amiss is that the "Distance to Closest Infrastructure" symbology is not correct in the layer package. I attempted to change the symbology in ArcMap, but connecting the layer file did not do anything. @MatthewMeier, if I remember correctly, the same thing happened with the North Fork Burnt River layer package.
@banderson1618 can you please look into this layer package issue with the guidance of @mhallerud ? Thanks
@banderson1618 I just took a look at it and it seems like the issue is coming from the source layer in the BRATSymbology folder.
@banderson1618 fixed the issue and I reloaded the layer package to the same folder linked above.
@sshahverdian, just so you know Chalese is generating maps for Panther Creek BRAT inputs, intermediates and outputs.
@Albonicomt, can you please run BRAT on Middle Salmon-Panther HUC8? Let's keep @sshahverdian in the loop on this. Here is the Box link to the original BRAT and RCAT runs of Middle Salmon-Panther HUC8 for your reference. @mhallerud (Maggie our new tech) can help you with this as needed.
