Make speaker mode available during dialing (before call connected) #272

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make call by pressing green call button.
2. During dialing process , press menu, only disconnect/hangup appears.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Ideally, if I'm driving and want to make a handsfree call (say stopped at the
lights), I don't want to have to keep looking down to see if the call has
connected (after I'm moving again), before selecting speaker mode. It
would be much better as soon as the phone starts dialing that I can put it
into speaker mode.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.2.4 on T-Mobile G1 running 1.6

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?
N/A

Which type of network are you using?
3G where available, sipdroid doesn't like 2g ever since it started enforcing
signal quality, but that's for another issue.

Please provide any additional information below.

Actually, this isn't entirely fixed. Whilst you can now switch to speaker when
the other
end is ringing, prior to it ringing you still only have the hang up option;
which can last
several seconds.

Thanks for the work thus far - please replace the last hang up only menu.

Cheers.
