Using the discussion tab to post questions is a great idea but it's perhaps a little difficult to search for issues without a standard way of writing them.
Make title the first line of the error message (too many messages are titled "error in devtools::install" or similar)
Use a standard(ish) format to help diagnose the problem as well as being more useful for other students
