My recommendation would be to pull Liberation Sans and rename it per its license. SMPTE Sans Empty
has a nice ring to it.
+1 to Liberation Sans.
Why rename it?
If one modifies the font, one cannot keep the same Reserved Font Name
(defined on line 4 of the license) -- it's part of clause 3 further down of the Open Font License.
Oh. The specification modifies the font file?
The file resources/font/232c45d8-fde8-4e5e-86b9-86e96354daf3
in this repo is a modified version of Arial.
Arial is a trademark of The Monotype Corporation which may be registered in certain jurisdictions.
Additionally, within the font file, the fsType flag is set to "no modification."We should replace this with an open-sourced font and rename it if necessary.
