7.2.3, Ordered List, Items 1 and 2: Use of "should"; If...then statements #35

The introductory sentence states: The following three KDM validity checks are informative:

Item 1, Sentence 2 and Item 2, Sentence 2 both state: If it is not correct, the KDM should be rejected.

As they are informative, then the statements cannot contain "should".

Suggestions:


In many SMPTE documents, an "if" statement, is usually followed by a "then" statement, even if "then" is not explicitly stated. In these instances, adding "then" is warranted to make it a stronger statement.
