Add Concise Functions

Need to break up functions (i.g. get_data.py, main.cpp) so that they are more readable and not so cluttered. Might need to add additional files.

We need to:

• [ ] Modify our main.cpp file and get_data.py file so that our code is broken up into more organized and concise functions
• [ ] Documentation of main.py and get_data.py in docs/processing_data.md.
  • Add documentation for how the functions operate and how they process data.
