Attributes including " (and perhaps other special characters? \ maybe) should be escaped when used in JSON templates #156

Can we just always do this when variables are used in JSON templates?

Do we need to be able to use them verbatim as today?

If this is the new default behaviour, is there a risk the change breaks some existing installation?
