I'm not sure about that. Regarding https://github.com/Schematron/schema/issues/7 @tgraham-antenna points at a comment that clarifies the purpose of the @‍document attribute: It indicates which document is being validated from that point to the next similar. This information is currently not present in SVRL.

The sch:pattern/@documents on the other hand is a sequence of subordinate documents.
