The problem with this feature is, that there isn't a really good solution. There are some really nice tags and methods I could use to automatically detect if a Mob can spawn in a certain biome (also think of the nether, which even has biome specific light levels), but those methods are only available to the Minecraft server. Which isn't a problem for singleplayer, but it is a huge problem for multiplayer.
The only workaround would be implementing some kind of biome ignore list, which defaults to the mushroom_fields. This would probably be a new option, with the default being OFF.
No time estimate when I'll get around to implement this feature, but probably sometime in 2024.
