Webmail certificate #40

(This issue was imported from Gitea) jim on May 5, 2020: Not sure whether this is a reasonable request. Is it possible to configure the TLS certificate for the webmail interface? It would be nice to point my mail server https://mail.example.com to the webmail service you host at https://inbox.purelymail.com, but of course this produces an SSL error. Obviously it would be nicest if this were a letsencrypt certificate. Or must I host my own webmail to have it appear in my own domain?

Thanks, I can't ask for too much at this pricepoint.

Comment by Scott on May 6, 2020: It's not possible yet, but it could be in the future. The major question marks are architectural (e.g. the load balancer in front of the webmail can't handle more than 25 certificates, so I'd need to set up a proxy). I'll leave this issue open for future reference.

Comment by jim on May 6, 2020: Got it. Any suggestions for alternate frontends for the meanwhile? Roundcube is fine, just not great. Thanks!

Comment by oneleaf on September 22, 2020: Regarding other webmail's, would you consider adding Rainloop as a webmail front-end? I always thought that was the nicest one and the simplest to use for kids.

Edit: I just added Rainloop as an add-in to my Nextcloud instance and connected it to PurelyMail. Now that I'm comparing it side-by-side, I now think Roundcube is just as nice as Rainloop. The new skin in Roundcube is very good!

Comment by vyr on January 23, 2021: Just my 2¢ - I have 301 redirected webmail.mydomain.com to inbox.purelymail.com at my registrar, for now. However, the login page doesn't appear to be white-label enough to be used directly for clients.

@Scott, any ETA on when this option will be available? This will allow me to move some of my clients to Purelymail infrastructure. If it's going to take a while with no ETA, can you please consider the option of providing a login page for Roundcube without branding or the top navigation bar, just so that users like me can redirect to that URL/sub-domain?

Comment by Scott on January 24, 2021: It probably will take a while to get around to this (it takes me a while to get around to anything really), but I can try adding a brandless login page next week if you want.

@ScottPeterJohnson Did you ever get around to this? If so, could you please let me know the URL? Thanks!

Love the service!!! Extremely happy! This is the last key item to make this my goto for all webmail. I can't wait to get away from Bluehost!

Thank you
