Ich hett no e style idee de luc hett doch mal es mega geil churzes video gmacht vom cube am bellevue.

Anstatt eifach schwarze hintergrund chöntmer das video im endlos loop laufelah falses z hell isch chasch ja au no en 25% transparente black layer drüber legge.

Das mit zvill text xehni ii und stimme allne voll zue.

Current implementation of this suggestion:

I took the mp4 file received via Signal and converted it from mp4 to gif using ffmpeg. Afterwards, I used gifsicle to heavily reduce the number of colors and thus also the general file size. Current size is 5.8MB and loading time is reasonable.

Directly using an mp4 would require further HTML changes (e.g. see here). Using the gif allows a quicker swap between one and the other. Would be worth testing though, since the mp4 is even smaller in size.

@lufonius fensch die variante mitem video oder mitem gif besser? do hani no en anderi commit als bispel för de gif. Mer persönlech gfallt die variante mitem gif besser ond vor allem goht si au, wenn de user z.b. auto video play deaktiviert het im browser.
