[Profiles] Harmonisation of properties used to locate a temporal entity #13

For most temporal entities, the profiles propose the sdh:P6 took place at property to link the entity to the sdh:C13 Geographical Place. However, for crm:E67 Birth, the crm:P8 took place on or within property is selected in Biographical basics and family profile.

Is there a reason for this? Could we harmonise practices by only using the sdh:P6 property?

If this were the chosen solution, it would mean recoding all the crm:E67 Births in the Toolbox.

That is indeed a mistake in the profile IMO. P8 is mostly used to refer to constructions (you were born in a specific house), while p6 is for geo place. In this profile, both p8 are used, which is a mistake. I can change it.

Once corrected in the profile, we should open an issue to correct the data. Maybe in geovistory/data-operations?

After discussion with @valamercery, we need to:

Add in the profile the property sdh:P6 from the Birth to the Geographical Place
Automatically change in GV the property P8 to P6

This should done at the same time to avoid confusion. An issue needs to be created in Devs repo (which one?)
