Hi Roddy, I'm not sure I understand, can you please provide an example, or a more detailed description of what is happening

do you use the keylistener service to search at each keystroke ? Which version of Servoy, keylistener, svySearch are you using ? i recall a similar issue with older versions of Servoy.
If you can share a sample solution where the issue is replicable we can investigater further.

Hi,
We are using keylistener, the latest version, although this is used for all searches and the character swallowing only seems to be happening on the date search. I would like to be able to setup a sample solution but am not sure what it would provide that one of your own would not; I'm currently working towards a release and am unfortunately not able to allocate time to further investigation.

When using a date format with alternate date formats; when a nominated separator ('/' and '-' in this case) is entered, it can swallow that character or the next character typed in. This is not consistent but happens frequently.
