Javascript Events for DEVs #3115

This applies to all of Shopify's free Themes:

It would be extremely useful to have custom JavaScript events available for theme and app developers to handle specific actions. I would particularly appreciate the implementation of the following events:

Considering that Shopify apps are generally restricted from using the asset API to inject code into themes, the availability of these custom events would be highly beneficial.

Agree ! We also need it for our customers' custom development. We'd like to keep their Dawn theme clean and up to date with theme evolution!

Cart events would also be appreciated!
