Computer Won't Connect! #679

Which device: Vibrant

Which firmware is installed? 2.2 rooted. Baseband (T959UVJI12). Kernal 
(2.6.32.9 eugene@ubuntu #2). Build (FROYO.JPM.XXJPM)

What version of wireless tether are you using? wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre11.apk

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.start tethering
2. shows up on available connections (windows 7)
3. will not connect

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
it will not let me connect to the internet and i have no idea why.

Please provide any additional information below.
i've rebooted and taken out the battery but still will not connect. i have also 
ran through the settings but still cannot figure out why i am not able to 
connect

Have you checked the FAQ -
