project and tasks not loading from Harvest into JIRA #84

Neither projects nor tasks are synched from Harvest to JIRA. The "loading..." text does not disappear.

Would really love to get the plug-in working! If you could please let us know how to possibly resolve this.

Hi Bjorn,

The plugin is working on our test environments, so I'd like to ask a couple of follow-up questions that might help us get a sense of what could be happening.

  1. Could you please share which version of JIRA you're using, and whether it's the OnPremise or OnDemand version?
  2. Did the plugin work before, and if so: what changed before it stopped working?
  3. Could you open your browser's "Developer Tools" panel and email us the output from the "Console" and "Network" tabs within it? You can send the email to gabriel (at) strategery (dot) io

@gsomoza sorry to have been out of touch. We have moved forward and widened our trial of Harvest and are very likely to use it across our entire team.

What is interesting is that the plug-in works for everyone but me :) which is good in many ways. Is authentication using Google allowed? That is how I signed up with Harvest in the first place.

I believe that everyone else currently trialling Harvest and your JIRA add-on may have signed up with their email address directly, not using Google.

@bjornschliebitz if you're using Google authentication then try this:

  1. Login to your account at Harvest.
  2. Go to your profile and set (or reset) a password for your Harvest account.
  3. Use your account email and that password to login with our plugin.

Solved in exactly that manner, great to know how to create an account directly with Harvest. Add-on works like a charm now and purchased a 1-year 25 user license. Thank you!
