Esc key #8

Normally when I would hit the Esc key it would deselect anything including
highlighted text. This is not the case currently. Any suggestions on this?

I turned off uawks and tried to replicate this issue, but esc doesn't seem to 
deselect text in most of the applications I tried.  In fact, so far I've only 
found 
that jEdit will deselect text when esc is pressed.  The problem is, it behaves 
exactly the same with or without uawks turned on.

Could you try doing the same thing, and track down which application(s) you're 
having 
this behavior with?  Also, what OS are you running?  (XP SP3, Vista SP1 x64, 
etc).

I'm running WinXP x64 but have done this in winxp x32 as well. Usually I can 
deselect
about anything in all programs from unhighlighting desktop icons to text in 
firefox
or word/notepad.
