Priest Mind control - abilities of thralls, generally EXTREMELY LACKLUSTER if not MISSING or OUTRIGHT BROKEN #5696

Describe the bug

Having now played priest on the server to lvl 60+, soloing, I've had to use mind control with some groups of enemies in order to be able to defeat them. It seems to me that the abilities of the controlled enemies are generally absolutely worthless, maybe as bad as some kind of placeholders? A controlled caster may not even be able to cast anything, or if they can, it might not be a spell they normally use, or it is a spell that has abnormally long cooldown and woefully low damage for it (like a lightning bolt that cannot be immediately repeat cast even if you have the mana for it). At this point it feels like this is, at worst, A MASSIVE AMOUNT of creature entries in the database that might have to be given a manual look and fix, because the overall feel is that they are that broken - in a really bad way. Fortunately, you can still use it to get a target killed by the other enemies close by, so it's not absolutely worthless an ability as it stands currently. Priest is maybe my least played class, so I'm not experienced when it comes to using mind control and comparing the abilities presented with any kind of fresh memories from the official server, unfortunately.

Character name

Qirana

To Reproduce

  1. Mind control stuff, humanoids
  2. See what abilities it has available and what they actually do when used, what the tooltip is, what clicking on the ability name once used and logged in the combat log says about it
  3. Compare to abilities used outside of combat, or with official server and mc there.

Rank 1 (lvl 30): https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/spell=605/mind-control Rank 2 (lvl 44): https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/spell=10911/mind-control Rank 3 (lvl 58): https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/spell=10912/mind-control

Some example cases (safe to assume that 95%+ of humanoid enemies are probably broken in a similar manner): Mojo the Twisted: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/npc=8296/mojo-the-twisted Has auto-attack, shadow bolt (14-15 second cooldown) and shadowbolt volley (14-15 second cooldown) when mc'd. WoWHead listed ability: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/spell=20825/shadow-bolt WoWHead listed ability: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/spell=17228/shadow-bolt-volley Neither of which mention any cooldowns.

Dreadmaul Ogre Mage: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/npc=5975/dreadmaul-ogre-mage Has auto-attack, fireball (~5-6 second cooldown, dealt ~274 dam), frostbolt (~7 second cooldown, dealt ~85 dam to another ogre) When released from mc, uses bloodlust, starts fireballing me repeatedly without the 5-6 second cooldown for the spell. Wowhead lists bloodlust and fireball as his abilities, doesn't ever seem to use frostbolt outside of mc? So has a spell that he doesn't actually have when mc'd?

Bonechewer Evoker: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/npc=19701/bonechewer-evoker Has auto-attack and fireball (~15 second cooldown, deals 72-85 damage (no resists) to Bonechewer Scavenger when mc'd Uses fireball that deals 401 damage to me, with no cd once released from mc. So, uh, basic math: 3s casting time + 15 s cooldown = 1 spell every 18 seconds = ~80 damage per 18 seconds -> less than 5 dps and outside of mc, 3s casting time, 0 s cooldown = 6 spells every 18 seconds = ~2400 damage per 18 seconds -> 133+ dps Even his auto-swing while mc is some 30+ dps compared to his fireball ability.

Expected behavior

The charmed enemy's ability bar would reflect the actual abilities it has and uses, rather than some default guesstimates. If the scarlet invoker casts arcane missiles, then mc'd invoker should also be able to cast arcane missiles, instead of arcane explosion that the caster doesn't use outside of mc. Some abilities that can be used on friendly targets by the mc'd creature cannot be used to heal the caster who is mind controlling the creature, for example. It refuses to target it.

Additional context

Gnomish mind control cap probably uses the same creature data.
