USB controller not working

I have Generic USB controller (from Esperanza) which looks like PS2 controller.

In HIDtest the controller works fine, but when the nintendont runs the game , 
the controller doesn´t work.

I think it has to do something with the message, while starting the game: Init 
HID devices ... Using Gamecube ports ... Done.

What revision of Nintendont are you using? On what system Wii/Wii U?

Using Wii.
Tried the versions from gbatempt(Release, latest) and the one from this site.

Additional info:
- running the game from usb stick or sd card makes no difference

Define "working fine".

Have you enabled HID in the settings? You can can get to the settings by 
pressing B once your gamelist is loaded.
